Victoria + Red’s Intimate Brooklyn Wedding | NYC Wedding Photographer

New York City will always have a grip on my heart.

There’s something about the way it holds space for people to be exactly who they are—messy, soulful, honest, romantic, colorful, raw. That’s the exact kind of energy Victoria and Red brought to their intimate Brooklyn wedding, and photographing it felt like coming home.

They did everything their way, and it was beautiful.

Victoria, Red, and every single person in their entire group was an absolute angel on earth. They were all so kind, so welcoming, so joyful, and so completely full of love. I mean, not a single person in attendance could have been described any other way. The wedding is over, but I talk to them regularly. Just good folks.

There were string lights overhead and the hum of the city.

Laughter spilled out of the brownstone- reminiscent venue. Kids ran barefoot.

Pizza was passed by hand. Love lived in every corner.

If that sounds like your kind of night, I’d love to be there—quietly documenting what matters most.

No production, no pressure—just a soft, golden evening filled with joy. The kids in their family played around the venue while string lights flickered overhead. They shared a joyful first look (with their matching pizza tattoos) before walking into the ceremony space, where they got married surrounded by their closest people. Love was the focus of the entire night.

Your love deserves to be remembered like this.

Soft light, real moments, a little bit of New York magic.

If you’re planning a wedding that feels more like a love letter than a production, I’d be honored to tell your story—on film, with heart, exactly as it felt.

One moment that stuck with me: Victoria’s mom leaned in during dinner and told me that back in the 80s, this—a low-key wedding, with pizza and wine under the stars—was the kind of wedding she had always dreamed of, but no one was doing that then.

It hit me how special this night truly was: timeless, soul-led, and full of freedom. Like, how amazing is it, that now, every couple has the freedom to celebrate their love, exactly as they wish to? You’re not confined to doing things any certain way anymore.

The venue, the people, the light… everything glowed. I shot a lot of this on film, because Victoria and Red are cool like that. That soft, nostalgic texture matched the way the evening felt—warm, effortless, unforgettable.

Victoria and Red are madly in love and treat each other so well. They were present, laughing, emotional, and totally themselves. This wedding was a reminder of what matters most: connection, family, and saying yes in your own way.

If you’re dreaming of an intimate NYC wedding or elopement, here are a few ideas to get inspired:

• NYC Elopement Spots: DUMBO, Central Park, Prospect Park, City Hall, rooftop venues

• Vibes to Steal: String lights, shared pizza, vintage film photos, a cozy dinner party, doing everything in the order you feel like doing it in

• Planning Tips: You don’t need a huge guest list or fancy ballroom to have a wedding that feels like you. Just the right people, a little light, and love at the center.

Whether it’s Brooklyn, Charleston, California, Italy, or anywhere your heart leads you—I’ll meet you there.
