The venue itself sits inside a beautifully restored late 1800s building, which brings an old-world elegance to your wedding day while still being walkable to all the best restaurants, bars, and waterfront views. It’s an ideal location for both local couples and those planning a destination wedding in Wilmington.
Is there on-site parking?
There is no dedicated on-site parking at 128 South, but downtown Wilmington offers plenty of nearby parking options. There are several public parking decks within walking distance, as well as metered street parking surrounding the venue. Many couples choose to provide a shuttle for guests or include detailed parking instructions on their wedding website to make arrival easy. Despite being downtown, it’s a surprisingly smooth experience for guests—especially with a little planning ahead.
How many people can the venue accommodate?
128 South can accommodate up to 175 guests for a seated reception and up to 200 guests for a cocktail-style event. The venue has two main areas: a spacious main floor with exposed brick and tall windows, and a beautiful upstairs mezzanine that overlooks the reception space. It’s incredibly versatile—you can host your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one location without it ever feeling cramped. Whether you’re planning something intimate or a full guest list celebration, the space adapts beautifully.

128 South has this amazing ability to feel both timeless and completely reimagined depending on how it’s photographed and styled. It’s cool because of how much personality it can hold—historic brick, warm wood tones, soft natural light, and an intimate, romantic atmosphere.
