We Got Published! Emmy & Nikheel’s Wedding Feature on Brides & Weddings
Some stories are so powerful, so full of color, spirit, and love—they find their way into the world in the most beautiful way.
Emmy & Nikheel’s wedding was one of those stories. And today, I’m beyond honored to share that their day has been published on Brides & Weddings!
The feature is titled “Emmy and Nikheel’s Uniquely Magical Indian Hippie Wedding”—which honestly might be the most perfect description of what this day truly was.
It took place at an invite-only artist retreat in Wilmington, NC. Hidden from the public. Surrounded by trees, art, and the most intentional energy. It was both sacred and silly, colorful and emotional. There were barefoot rituals, tearful vows, spontaneous dancing, and a fusion of Indian and hippie traditions that made the whole day feel like a living altar to love.
It wasn’t just a wedding—it was a work of art. A community ritual. A celebration of wild, real, embodied love.
And I still can’t believe I got to be the one to photograph it.
To have this wedding published is more than just an honor—it’s a moment of reflection. A reminder that storytelling matters. That photography is so much more than pretty images—it’s memory, emotion, culture, and connection frozen in time.
I’m just so proud. So grateful. And so freaking in awe of these two.
