The Myrtle Beach Wedding you HAVE to see—Oceanside meets Vintage Glam
Myrtle Beach Wedding Photographer: A Real Story
Omg this wedding was absolutely one for the books. These two have been my good friends for many years, and when Jessica asked me to photograph their wedding I was absolutely thrilled. I knew their wedding in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was going to completely kick ass but I also knew only good people would be in attendance and that it would be not only gorgeous, but such fun to photograph.
Jess was trying to keep their wedding as close to their budget as possible, but she has great taste and wanted the wedding to be cool and funky and a vibe. She kept decor simple and understated, which looked so nice on the beach. A romantic vibe for a beach wedding could not be cooler. They also chose to use a record for their guestbook which was beyond creative. Their cake toppers were actually some adorable little Instax photos that I took for them right after their first look. Most people don’t use a beautiful home on the beach for their reception, but these two did, and it was brilliant. Dinner was on the balcony during sunset, and was crazy romantic. Their wedding ceremony took place on the beach, just a short distance from the house they were staying in, complete with pool!
As usual, my wedding photography was very nostalgic, and the wedding photos of Jessica + Jeremy are totally iconic because they are SO DOPE. Also don’t miss the photos of the two of them jumping into the pool. This Myrtle Beach, SC wedding was seriously one of the coolest weddings I’ve ever photographed!
Is Myrtle Beach a good place for a Wedding?
In my opinion, if you’re going to do it like this, hell yes Myrtle Beach is an excellent spot for your wedding. This wedding was classy and tasteful, glamorous and simple, but so much fun and had so much of their personalities woven in. I vote rent a nice oceanfront home and get married on the beach all day every day!
Best time of year to get married in Myrtle Beach?
Again, I think these two absolutely nailed their wedding in every single way. I would say September or October is the prime time of year to get married in Myrtle Beach. The weather is very warm but cools off some at night, and it’s a beautiful time to enjoy the ocean.
Do you recommend jumping in the pool on our wedding night?
Um, I 2000% completely recommend jumping in the pool on your wedding night. Jump in with your wedding dress on. Jump in with your friends and family. Just do it. You only wear your wedding dress once and the wedding photos are going to be SO WORTH IT.
Should we do all digital photography or go with film, too?
Film is so fire. Use film for everything. If you can, have most of your wedding shot in film. It cannot be replicated, it’s just so incredible and delicious. Look at the digital shot above and compare to the yummy grain in the shot below. I’m sorry but I have a favorite and it’s film.
